ACIAR – call for Nomination for 2011-2012 John Allwright Fellowships.

The Australian Center for International Agricultural Research (ACIA) is now calling for application for Jon Allwright Fellowships for post graduate studies commencing 2012.

The primary aim of the scheme is to enhance research capacity in ACIAR’s partner country institution. Whilst individual awardees will benefit from the scheme, it is important to emphasize that parer country institutions are the key targets.

ACIAR’s research priorities are determine through regular consultation with partner countries.  Alignment of post graduate training with research will ensure that the training needs of partner countries are met.  Thus, postgraduate studies undertaken by each awardee are usually based on the research work being carried out under the collaborative research project in which the awardee is engaged prior to taking the award.

Although applications are welcome from participant in both bilateral and multilateral (IARC) project, to be eligible applicants must be working on a permanent long-term basis in ACIAR’s partner priority countries, including Indonesia.

Application must also be citizens of the country in which they are working.

An updated copy of the fellowship Guidelines and Application Form is attached.  Please ensure that applications reach ACIAR no later than 31 July 2011.
